Itinerary

Day 1 – Nairobi to Amboseli National Park

After an early breakfast in Nairobi, you will depart for Amboseli National Park, driving through scenic countryside with views of local villages and open plains. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp, spotting elephants, zebras, wildebeest and possibly big cats. After check-in and lunch, relax briefly before heading out for an afternoon game drive beneath the majestic backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Dinner and overnight at your Amboseli lodge.

Day 2 – Full Day in Amboseli National Park

Spend the entire day exploring Amboseli, famous for its large elephant herds and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro. Early morning and afternoon game drives maximize your chances of seeing lions, cheetahs, buffaloes and a variety of birdlife around the swamps. Between game drives, return to the lodge for meals and relaxation. Overnight at the same lodge.

Day 3 – Amboseli to Nairobi with Giraffe Centre Visit

After breakfast, enjoy a final short game drive as you exit Amboseli and begin the journey back to Nairobi. Arrive in the afternoon and visit the Giraffe Centre, where you will get a chance to feed and interact with endangered Rothschild giraffes while learning about conservation efforts. Dinner and overnight at a Nairobi hotel.

Day 4 – Nairobi to Ol Pejeta Conservancy

Depart Nairobi after breakfast and head north towards the lush landscapes of Laikipia. Arrive at Ol Pejeta Conservancy in time for lunch before heading out for an afternoon game drive. The conservancy is home to the Big Five and is renowned for its rhino conservation programs. You may also visit the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. Dinner and overnight near Ol Pejeta.

Day 5 – Ol Pejeta to Lake Naivasha

Enjoy an early morning game drive in Ol Pejeta before departing for Lake Naivasha. The drive takes you through beautiful highland scenery and the Great Rift Valley. On arrival, check in at your lodge and relax by the lakeside. You may enjoy optional activities such as a boat ride to see hippos and birds or a walking safari on Crescent Island. Dinner and overnight in Naivasha.

Day 6 – Lake Naivasha to Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy a game drive upon entry as you search for flamingos, white and black rhinos, Rothschild giraffes, buffaloes and tree-climbing lions. Spend the day exploring the park before checking in to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 – Lake Nakuru to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Depart Lake Nakuru after breakfast and travel to the world-famous Maasai Mara, passing through the dramatic landscapes of the Rift Valley. Arrive in time for lunch at your camp, then enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve, home to the Big Five and vast herds of plains game. Dinner and overnight at your Mara camp.

Day 8 – Full Day in Maasai Mara

Spend a full day on safari in the Maasai Mara with morning and afternoon game drives. This is the best opportunity to spot lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants and large herds of wildebeest and zebras. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness and soak in the endless savannah views before returning to camp for dinner and overnight.

Day 9 – Maasai Mara – Balloon Safari & Maasai Village Visit (Optional)

Begin the day with an optional hot air balloon safari at sunrise, floating silently over the plains followed by a bush breakfast, or have breakfast and proceed to have full day gamedrive in the mara with packed lunch. Later, enjoy an optional cultural visit to a traditional Maasai village where you will learn about their customs, dances and way of life.

Day 10 – Maasai Mara to Nairobi – Flight to Diani

After breakfast, depart Maasai Mara and drive back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, transfer to the airport for your flight to Diani Beach. On arrival at the coast, you will be transferred to your beach resort where you can unwind by the Indian Ocean. Dinner and overnight in Diani.

Day 11 – Full Day at Diani Beach

Enjoy a full day at leisure on the pristine white-sand beaches of Diani. Relax by the pool, swim in the turquoise waters or choose optional activities such as snorkeling, dhow sailing, spa treatments or a marine park excursion. Overnight at your beach resort.

Day 12 – Diani to Nairobi – International Departure

After breakfast, transfer to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward international flight back home, marking the end of your unforgettable Kenya safari and beach holiday
